INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey--It's rare when a husband and wife win to attend officer training seminary at the same time. on the contrary that's lust what Herman Brandon and Rebecca Drydol-Brandon did in June

Herman, of Incirlik's 728th Air Mobility Squadron, and Rebecca, of the 39th Contracting Squadron, learned of their selection a not many months apart, his in October 200 land hers in December.

"We decided to apply for OT together because I wanted to take the nearest step in my military career. And I wanted more of a challenge," Rebecca said. "And Herman wanted to give back to the Air Force since the Air Force gave him the opportunity and the coin to finish school."

Herman joined the service in 1992 with a year of society business administration study under his belt. He earned his bachelor's stage from Wayland Baptist University, Texas, while stationed in Alaska. At the time, Rebecca hadn't started college

on the other hand by 1999, she'd earned a bachelor's order in business administration from the same teach and Herman had a master's order in organizational management.

"Our supervisors encouraged us to finish school" Herman said. "They were supportive and gave us the time we exigencyed to complete our degrees. Without them, it would have been hard to commit to memory where we are today."

Still, a hardly any years went by before they applied for officer training. They weighed the decision carefully, knowing that changes would come to pass in applying and being accepted. if it be not that both knew it was something that would benefit them and the Air Force.

After getting their secondary lieutenant's gold bars, the Brandons -- with son Matthew -- headed for Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. Herman works in acquisition management and Rebecca replyed to contracting.

The Brandons said the education office staff helped in planning their dream.
