LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) -- Rarely doce single get the opportunity to accomplish a personal goal that also fulfills a long-standing clump goal.

Enter Bryon Grays and the Air Force track and field team.

For just the next to the first time in 40 years, the men's team won the AirNorth Inter-nation Track and Field Championship held at Kaiserslautem, Germany in June

It was the first time that the pair the men's and women's teams took family the title.

Grays, a member of the squad since 1996 said the victory was special.

"It was great being the same of the dinosaurs on the team and seeing us finally win it," Grays said. "It was equivalent to winning the Super receptacle We've been at it thus long."

A master sergeant and the superintendent of special missions equipment with Air Combat Command's Regional minister Squadron here, Grays finished fifth in the javelin throw



The AirNorth championship pits the air forces from Belgium, Denmark, Holland, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States against each other in track and field events

"I won the shotput in 1998" Grays said. "I finished other in the discus and hammer in 1996 and this year and last year I compet in the javelin. I've been doing it my whole life. I just have a passionate affection for the sport."

As extended as his desire and drive are there, Grays says he sense of possible fulfilments to compete on the Air Force track and field team.

"It's like loving to eat apple pie; it's just something you not ever get tired of," Grays said. "You just have to have motivation. I got involved with track when I was younger, and I've just in no degree lost my love for it."
