Take two
THANK YOU for including my painting, "Wright Biplane at Kittyhawk," in your article ["Time Portal," October '001 at Tech. Sgt. Jim Greeley. I've take delight ined being involved with the Air Force Art Program since the early '60 and have dissipated count of how many paintings and trips I've taken. The Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk was painted in 1982 and was pitch uponed to be made into a print. The image was also placed in succession a pill box for the National Air and Space Museum. My father always said, "Don't worry about what is written about you as in extent as they spell your name right." Unfortunately, you attributed my painting to dowdy Dietz.

Tuxla time
I JUST turn backed from Tuzla in November 2000 and must say it is steady nicer there than your story described ["Tuzla Turnaround," December '00] a certain quantity of of my troops joked It was "summer camp with guns" Anyone with orders there should be excited, especially now that there are more opportunities to win off base. But, the main reason I am writing is to rehearse you the RQ-1 Predator is not a idler Drones are painted orange and live to be ball down. You wouldn't call the F-117 a bomber would you?

AS PART OF the "millennium tour," December 1999-March 2000 I experienced Tuzla's final weather. My work center was responsible for installation and maintenance of weather and navigational equipment around the runway. We worked in snow and mire more than we wanted. In three month we complet more devises than I had seen in several PCS While there, I worked with local contractors who are a certain number of of the hardest working clan I've met. They worked in highest conditions with a smile. united song describes the Tuzla experience -- "Turn the Page."

TV thanks
I WANTED TO present to view my appreciation and give thanks to the race behind the scenes at the Armed Forces Network ["Something in the Airwaves," December '00] I can remember eight years ago, my first time in Europe AFN was the same channel. Now we have four. Many tribe complain about the programming still as long as they hold fast the sports programs going, I'm happy. hold fast up the good work.

I WAS HAPPY TO diocese your article on the Broadcast Center until I got to the extremity and saw the radio section was barely mentioned. Maybe in an upcoming issue, you can give "the stillness of the story" and explain to what extent nine broadcasters load, monitor and fix programming for 11 radio formats that hie 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Simply deposit you only got half of the story. Is that dutiful enough? I hope not.

Flag flap
I be delighted withed YOUR ARTICLE "Turkish Delight" [November '00] onward Operation Northern Watch. It's an awesome TDY everyone should present for at least once. It drives domestic circle the point of why we are in the military. When I continued to read, I was saddened and angered from the photo accompanying the story depicting Senior Airman Jessica Wilson enjoying her "cool getaway" in her dorm place She is showing blatant disrespect for the U flag. For me the flag means more than a use for curtains. Please don't forget on what account we're in the military. Do not forget the men and women who died for their abiding habitation and those colors. And if that doesn't matter, Air Force Pamphlet 36-2241 the Promotion Fitness Examination research Guide, states in Chapter 7246 page 93; "The U flag is not to be used as a drapery of any sort."

I NOTICED THE PHOTO of Senior Airman Wilson using the U flag as window curtain. I certainly faith we as supervisors are not allowing this representation of disrespect to the flag.

Christmas hero
I'M NOT many times MOVED enough to write explanations about articles, but I had to commentary on "A Christmas Story" [December '00] I am ostentatious of the warriors and heroes who have serv in the armed forces. The chaplain in this story says he's no hero, "he was just doing his job" In my views he's a hero. Thank you for this story.

bright op
THANK YOU for an virtuous article ["Golden Opportunity," November '00] I read it, and It made me realize in what way much we as a society take for granted. in the greatest degree of us get frustrated at the little things in life. on the other hand there are people out there who would give anything just to be able to do simple things like walk or persuade their limbs. What great motivation to descry those men and women in your article strive for, and achieve, their goals of being independent and overcoming their challenges. More of us ne to stop and take a direct the eye at the blessings we have in our lives. Those blessings can be taken away thus quickly and unexpectedly. Thanks again.
